Backup of Encryption key in SSRS

Hello, i am getting an error the Report server installation is not initialized. when i checked the Reporting services configuration manager i found the initialization with Red Cross mark when i tried to initialize its not happening.when i checked the encryption key the backup was in hidden state and the restore was highlighted. i need to take the backup of the encryption key. can any one suggest how i can take the back of the encryption now.if i delete the encryption key which was now present will it effect on the reports. please suggest.i dont have the earlier password.
