SQL Server 2008 and 2012
I recently reimaged my laptop to increase its efficiency and speed.I lost the installations of both SQL server 2008 and 2012 and would like to reload both?Can some one guide me through the steps of a successful re-installation as I have not been successful in the last few hours?These installations should have the Management Studios as well.Thanks in advance.

What OS? What have you tried so far, and what error messages are you getting? Also - what's the spec of your laptop? If you've not got enough RAM, you're always going to have performance issues.

Generally, I install SQL Server in ascending order of versions - so put on SQL 2008 first, then do SQL2012. There's no problem doing that, assuming you have the appropriate rights over your laptop (which, if it's actually yours, you should have). SQL Server Developer edition and better all include SSMS, so, assuming you have your original installation media, you're good to go.
