Clustering installation

Hello, i am having windows cluster environment in which sql server 2005 cluster is running. now i am planning to have side by side upgrade. ie i want to install SQL Server 2008R2 in cluster mode on the same windows clustered servers.please suggest is it possible to install.if yes do i need to get the IP address for SQL server and msdtc or i can use the same ips which are existing for sql server 2005 and the msdtc which is there.

You can install side by side. I personally would not recommend it. But I understand budget constraints and other factors may push you towards side by side installations. Huge +1 on not installing side-by-side in clustered environments. Heck, I'd avoid side-by-side in any environment.
