Why don't some of my edits appear to be having the desired effect?

Hello, I suspect I'm doing something wrong here, but wanted to ask why some edits I've made to questions don't seem to be having the effect I expect. I tried to edit [this question][1] to move it from the meta section to the default space, however the edit didn't seem to 'take' - although I did then show up as the person who had most recently edited the question. With regards to [this question][2] I received an email that the answer had been accepted by the questioner, but when I now go to the question it doesn't appear to be marked as accepted. I did convert an answer (not the marked one) to a comment, not sure if this would have caused this behaviour. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thanks to those moderators who have corrected the issues I was having with the questions above - but if anyone can shed any light as to what I was doing wrong it would be appreciated.

Greetings! One of the questions too have the "doesn't appear to be marked as accepted" as found earlier by Dave, even though the requester has stated that the thread has been Closed and Right answer has been accepted. I just had the same issue when attempting to move a question to "default." I could pick it from the drop-down list but t wouldn't actually move - http://ask.sqlservercentral.com/questions/109182/ipad-support-in-ssrs-2012.html

We sometimes see clashes between karma levels and user status that can cause these sorts of issues. Unfortunately it's quite a complex system and difficult to debug when this does arise. I've moved you to moderator status - hopefully this will allow you to make these changes without issue, but let me know if you do keep seeing them.
