SSIS and different version sql

I created SSIS in sql2005 and set it up in 2005 but it access a sql2000 server and it will not work. Is this even possible?

How does it not work? Error messages? Additional details?

It shows connection error. It does work when I run it manually. I'm posting the error. I did make sure the run 64 bit is set to false. Error to follow

That's a pretty standard error message suggesting a connectivity issue. You need to check the logins used, the permissions for those logins, and validate what service is being used to call SSIS so that it's login is also one of those that you check. You may also be hitting a system configuration problem [outlined here][1]. But the most likely issue is probably just permissions. [1]: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933835
