can we need server restart after install microsoft .net framework 4?

Hi, We have .net framework 3.5 SP1 and we are using Microsoft(R) Windows(R) Server 2003 Standard x64 Edition So we are planning to install microsoft .net framework 4 in our server. In our server we are using SQL Server 2005. My question is **After installation of mircrosoft .net framework 4** **Is it necessary to restart Server? Is it any impact on SQL Server 2005 Databases and compatibility issues or restart of SQL Server?**

I think it depends on your system configuration, you can use the following switch to prevent the installation to restart automatically: /norestart You should test it before installing in production if you want minimum downtime. Read up on this: [.NET Framework Deployment Guide for Administrators][1] [.NET Framework Deployment Guide for Developers][2] In the article above there are links to the download, standalone and web. It means that there is something wrong with your Report Server database. Have a look in Reporting Services Configuration Manager and database setup for clues. Check this link http://galhano.com/blog/?p=1053 or Google the error message, it looks like a common problem.
