Reports in reporting services

Hello, i am creating the reports in microsoft visual studio. when i am deploying the reports i am getting the error: A connection could not be made to the report server http://localhost/ReportServer. (Microsoft Report Designer). and No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it ::1:80 (System) when i checked the server there microsoft SQL express 2005 installed. when i opened the databases i am not able to see reportserver and reportservertempdb databases. can any one suggest are these databases essential for the deploying of reports please help.

Thanks every one.i changed the previlages to db owner to the user to the report server database and set the target server url by going to the properties of project. it worked for me.

Yes, you absolutely must have those databases in order to deploy reports. They're part of the management infrastructure of the reporting server. It sounds like you either had a problem during the installation of your SSSRS instance or you have changed configurations. You may want to rebuild the server.

we added the report server database by reinstalling even then we are facing the same errors

It could be security, the account that SSRS is running under doesn't have the same privileges as whatever you're using to connect.

Not sure if this will help but User Access Controls typically prevent you by default from connecting to the report server via IE on the server itself. You have to launch IE as an administrator or lessen the security of the User Access Controls.
