Solar Winds

Anyone else on here using Solar Winds for a SQL monitoring tool? Looks like out of the box it captures a lot of good performance metrics. It also has the ability to add an endless number of custom metrics. For anyone using this product, what have you found as its strengths and weaknesses? What custom monitors have you had to create to supplement the out of the box monitors? For me, the company I work for already owns unlimited licenses for the tool so it would be senseless not to go all in and use it. :)

Was hoping for a little more feedback from this. I will just go ahead and mark this answered but will come back and list any custom metrics I find justified so anyone in the future that searches will have a little to go on. For one I have created a process that can list a priority from 1 to 3 for each job. (do nothing, email, initiate a phone call). Every 5 minutes Solar Winds calls this stored procedure which checks the status of each job for failures, any "new" failed job it will check the corresponding priority and our NOC will take action. Was pretty simple to setup. I am also thinking about putting in a a couple of extra memory monitors.
