the users are able to connect with windows authentication mode but not with mixed mode why?

And the user has sys.amin permission but unable to connect to the database why?

what entries do you see in the event log for failed connections?

yes mixed mode was enabled,still the user unable to connect.

Did you restart the database engine service after enabling mixed mode? Is the user using the correct "connection string" (servername\instance and so on)?

Ya yes he was able to connect through windows mode but with mixed mode
