Better guidance on the "ask a question" form?

Hello, It seems that there are regularly a number of questions asked in the *Site discussion (meta-askssc)* section which should in fact go into the general space. Whilst mods regularly move them out, I feel that there is probably something about the user-experience of asking questions which leads the question to be incorrectly filed. I wonder whether this is due to the layout of the form - is it possible to include a comment where the form asks you to "select a space for your question" to indicate that this is not mandatory, and that only questions about the site and related things should go in the *site discussion* page, whereas questions about SQL server and the rest (i.e. most questions) should be in the general (*blank*) space? What do people think?

Thanks Dave, a good interim solution, and I look forward to the new template.

It's not currently possible to edit the form, but I am revising the site at the moment, so that should be possible. Annoyingly, the main space does not appear on the dropdown, and I'm struggling to find a way to force it to. I've added a note to the sidebar in giant letters, which will hopefully stop a few of these. I'll get a more robust solution in place in the new site template I'm working on at the moment.
