How to set width of a textbox relative to Tablix width?

Hi, I have a tablix in SSRS 2008 where the number of columns will vary depending on the data in the dataset. I am trying to place a text box, just above the tablix, containing text which should act as the report header. I am not able to set the width of the header to vary relative to the width of the tablix. Is there a way to set this?

Insert a extra row at the top of the tablix, then highlight all the cells in the top row right click and merge all the cells, drag a textbox into the top row. That can act as your header and will adjust accordingly to the number of columns.

Yep, that is why you cannot merge all the cells. Try this: Create a tablix with only 2 cells, space them out to match the size of your main tablix. Then drag your main tablix into the bottom cell, and use the top as the header.

Thanks for your response... I tried doing that initially, but it is not allowing me to merge the first two columns with the rest of the columns on the right... I presumed it wasn't allowing this due to some properties of the Tablix... But, havent found a work around for that yet...

Does your tablix have grouping?

Yes... There is a row group and two column groups in the tablix...
