SSRS Email File Size

I am trying to send a file via ssrs subscriptions, the file is approx 12 mb and i can send the downloaded attached file through my network fine, however, ssrs fails the subscription. Is the file size email configuration managed via the sql server instance sysmail_configure_sp or is there another .config file which is used to set this property? Thanks

Quoted from MSDN article [here][1]: > If your browser supports HTML 4.0 and MHTML, and you choose the Web archive rendering format, the report is embedded as part of the message. All other rendering formats (CSV, PDF, and so on) deliver reports as attachments. You can disable this functionality in the RSReportServer configuration file. > Reporting Services does not check the size of the attachment or message before sending the report. If the attachment or message exceeds the maximum limit allowed by your mail server, the report will not be delivered. Choose one of the other delivery options (such as URL or notification) if for large reports. You will need to verify with your email provider or administrator what the size limit is for an email message and attachments. [1]: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms160334(v=sql.105).aspx

I've read that link before I posted. It is not clear that file size limits are configured in the rs.config file or the dbmail configuration from within the db server.. I do know that the file limits are within acceptable range of my mail server. does anyone know this? Thanks

You do not have the ability to configure the file or message size of the email. SSRS is going to render the report as prescribed and return the data. If you are not able to adjust the limit for an email in your mail server then you will have to redesign your reports accordingly; if emailing them is required. As it suggest in the link "Chose one of the other delivery options (such as URL or notification) if for large reports."

I am getting below error while sending ssrs report as MHTML web archive. While when i send it as excel then the subscription is successful. Can anyone help me understand why subscription with MHTML web archive is giving me this error?
