Hello! Love the existing Stairways, and have used the learnings in much of my work. I am now getting into the world of SSAS and am wondering if there exists, or are there plans to create a Stairway for SSAS? Best Regards, Dave

Thanks for your comments and it's great to have feedback about content across SQL Server Central. Someone from SQL Server Central or RedGate will be able to inform you if there are plans to create the Stairways that you suggest. While you are waiting for their response would you have any specific techniques that you'd like to see covered? If you are early enough you may be able to guide how the stairway is written! Well it is, I am finding, a far more complex aspect of BI than anything else I have done. I would be particularly interested in seeing sections on the use of Surrogate Keys, How Hierarchies are created, a section on how to make the transition from from an OLTP background (i.e. relational) to Dimensional, How to use cubes in SSRS and optimization of the OLAP environment, as it relates to query performance. Best Regards, Dave

Hi Dave, We are looking to commission an SSAS Stairway, but right now we haven't found an author for it - we want the stairways to be as good as possible, so we're not rushing them out, but rather building them up slowly with a lot of tech reviewing, editing, etc... Hopefully there will be one before too long, but we have a lot of topics that we want to cover... Thanks, Dave C
