Subreport can not be shown

Hi, In SSRS 2008R2, i have a main report which is using shared datasets and i am using a sub report in it. The subreport is also using same shared datasets. When i ran the report, i got an error "subreport can not be shown". Once i removed the shared datasets of subreport the report is working fine. i didn't get any error on subreport. Can anyone help me what is the reason for this. Is this the drawback in SSRS 2008R2?

Are sure that all the parameters of the subreport have been assigned a value during design?
