Attempting to upload PNG fails

PNG is in the list of allowable file types, but an attempt to upload an image of that type generates a message saying that that type is not allowed.

Linking to a PNG works.

I've just done a jpg and gif above. For images the allowable types are supposed to be jpg, gif, png, jpeg

@Kev Riley @matt 4 @DaveC(Using names to make sure someone do not not miss it) What should be the behavior you expect, if this had been your answer and I had passed the comment? :)

I did not receive any update about Kev Riley's last comment :( This is where this question is still not marked as accepted. Damnnn.., I was not able to get the 50 points bounty for it ;)
