DPMRA service


what is role of The DPMRA service in SQL,if it entered the stopped state what is impact to sql server or database?

It is a System Center production from Microsoft Data Protection Manager OR [System Center Data Protection Manager][2].

It is not required by SQL Server but more of an tool to use along with SQL Server in protecting databases and data recovery. It is pretty much a backup tool that I am aware of, although I'm sure it does more (or less).
