DPMRA service

Hi,

what is role of The DPMRA service in SQL,if it entered the stopped state what is impact to sql server or database?

It is a System Center production from Microsoft Data Protection Manager OR System Center Data Protection Manager.

It is not required by SQL Server but more of an tool to use along with SQL Server in protecting databases and data recovery. It is pretty much a backup tool that I am aware of, although I'm sure it does more (or less).
