Buying sql server 2008 r2 Software

Hi ,

My company wants to buy sql server 2008 R2 Enterprise software. We currently own sql server 2008 Standard. what is the best place to buy it. I am not sure how should i approach this. Is it best to buy it at the microsoft website or some website like this http://www.cdw.com/shop/search/Software/Database-Business-Intelligence-Software/result.aspx?w=F4&SortBy=TopSellers?

I would look for some sort of group licensing deal which could get you a significant discount on the product, rather than buy it as a single item. Start by reading up on MS's Volume Licensing deals - http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/licensing-options/open-license.aspx

New code box

There's a new way to format code on the site - the red speech bubble logo will automatically format T-SQL for you. The original code box is still there for XML, etc. More details here.
