I am not quite clear on what you are asking here. However, if you search for performance there are a number of more specific questions on this site and numerous articles on the topic out there. I wrote one about general database performance a while ago at: An Informal Look at Database Performance If you are not looking for just general performance ideas, perhaps you could clarify the question?
