cross db ownership chaining,need help

Im going through configuration settings at server level in SQL-2K5.Can anybody provide me best explanation about the property cross db ownership chaining.I already gone thorouh msdn but its giving me confusion.

what are the limitations?

what about the security risk?

when should we enable this property?

+1 (ha!) - Oh wow, someone's found something I did on sqlblogcasts. That takes me back... (and saves me writing a proper answer here). Funny... I jump online in the Australian morning, and see a bunch of questions, but almost all are answered. So I vote for questions and answers, and then there's almost no activity here for ages.
