Enabling MixedMode authentication

Hi,

I want to enabled mixed-mode authentication on sqlserver 2000 box on a cluster. After enabling the mixed-mode on the sqlserver properties. Will a failover and failback will enable the mixed-mode immediately.

Thanks,
Chandra

If you enable mixed mode authentication, the settings will remain even when the server fails over and back.

The question seems to be getting at when the change would take effect rather than whether it would remain in effect. Maybe along the lines of... "Does the mixed mode change take effect immediately? If not, will a failover/back make the change take effect?"

With that in mind, then a failover will cause the change to take effect.

New code box

There's a new way to format code on the site - the red speech bubble logo will automatically format T-SQL for you. The original code box is still there for XML, etc. More details here.
