Collation Conflict in the Union Operation (error:468)

Hi there, I'd successively done Mirroring without Witness server in test environment. There the ip for the principal and mirror server were "" and "" respectively. But when I placed the mirror server in my dr site, I gave it "". Now the mirroring is not working. As far as I can get information from the web, I've tried. One thing I notice is that the windows login that I've used as service account of mirroring doesn't have Grant right to Mirroring Endpoint. Under securables, the system throws the following error:

cannot resolve the collation conflict between "Latin1_General_CI_AS_KI_WS" and "Latin1_General_Bin" in the Union Operation (error:468)

Even when I tried to add the Endpoint and press OK, it won't appear again. SO I'd be grateful if anyone of You can help me with the solution.

As per BOL recommendation

All of the server instances in a mirroring session should use the same master code page and collation. Differences can cause a problem during mirroring setup.

So the same problem is with your environment. May be this is the [bug][1] for which Microsoft has recommended this.

New code box

There's a new way to format code on the site - the red speech bubble logo will automatically format T-SQL for you. The original code box is still there for XML, etc. More details here.
