Your question isnt very clear, do you want ideas on what else to use? It depends on what you want to test. If you are benchmarking your hardware then something like sqlio http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=20163 will test your storage hardware, once you get SQL installed and a test database or two on there then you can take a trace from your live systems and replay it to see how it copes the RML utilities is good http://blogs.msdn.com/b/psssql/archive/2007/12/18/rml-utilities-for-microsoft-sql-server-released.aspx. get this book http://www.simple-talk.com/books/sql-books/sql-server-hardware/ and read chapter 3
