A failure was detected for a previous installation, patch, or repair for instance 'MSSQLSERVER' during configuration for features [MPT_AGENT_CORE_CNI,]. In order to apply this patch package (KB2528583), you must resolve any issues with the previous operation that failed. View the summary.txt log to determine why the previous operation failed.
Verified summary.txt but was unable to find the exact reason ...
does any know how to fix this

@Pragathi perhaps you can supply a little more information - Has the server in question had / got another installation of SQL Server? Also, are you running as an administrative user? Hi Dave , no there is only one instance but the server is having SMS , while I was verifying all the logs under bootstrap I found the below errors on one file Detailed results: Feature: Database Engine Services Status: Failed: see logs for details MSI status: Passed Feature: SQL Server Replication Status: Failed: see logs for details MSI status: Passed There was a repair attempted on the sqlserver , and the log file related to that repair has these failed messages. I suspect this might be the reason which is stopping the sp1 to be installed. Pleas guide me if you could figure out something
