I'm going to attempt the move from Windows XP to Windows 7, on my development machine at work. One of the things I have on development machine is SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition. I'm thinking either of going to the same thing on Windows 7 or maybe SQL Server 2008 Developer Edition. In any case, what are the caveats I should be aware of before I make the move?

You will need SP3 of 2005 and SP1 of 2008, other than that they're sweet on Windows 7.

@Matt, on SO there is a question about a tool to visualize cascade trees. Does your software do this? I was going to put a link to your site...

@scot - no, it doesn't... yet! :) I'm going to write one. Just finishing off data inspector now (compare data in two DBs) then data explorer (cascade visualisation) will be next :)

If you go with SQL 2005 and use Reporting Services you'll have the IIS issue and another link here.
