SQL Service not starting

Hi,

I am unable to start SQL Service, it through error

“error 1067 : can not start sql SERVER (MSSQLSERVER) service on Local computer.”

and

“error 1067 : the process terminated unexpectedly”.

SQL error log not showing any error but also not contains complete instance start information.

SQL Server 2005: Express Edition

Windows XP Service Pack 2

SQL Service Log on Account: Local System.

I don't recognised that build number. Can you apply the latest service pack and have another go? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913089

I think that build number is a Security patch to SQL Server 2005 SP2.
