SQL Server 2000 Message store

Hi Our SQL Server 2000 has stopped sending notifications and alerts. When I try and test sending to a listed operator, it returns the following error message: Error 22022 SQLServerAgent Error The message store has reached its maximum size.

Can anyone help with the following? Where is the message store, and how do I reduce\delete messages from it?

Thanks in advance

Iain

1 answer: sort voted first

This suggests that the email account you are using (to send from) has reached it's maximum setting. The message is coming from Exchange.

Try opening this account in your email client and clearing out some messages? Or if there is not a lot of messages, get the storage limit raised.
