How do I suspend replication?

If I need to do maintenance on my distributors or subscripers, how do I suspect replication until I am finished?

If I had enough points to edit, I'd fix your "suspect" word.

You can either stop the Agent Serivce (if there are no other essensial dependancies) or disable the distribution agent and the log reader jobs.

Stop any log backups if you are truncating the logs after it is backed up. Keep and eye on your log size if you do this!

Merry xmas too and hope you have a top New Year... Keep up the good work!

New code box

There's a new way to format code on the site - the red speech bubble logo will automatically format T-SQL for you. The original code box is still there for XML, etc. More details here.
