I have recently deployed a report on the server - it shows up well from my development environment but it shows up disabled on the server and with nothing to show although user are able to see the the report control on the page
(comments are locked)

Can you clarify your question a bit? You say 'the report control': are you talking about using the report viewer control in your own website or is this the SQL Server Report Manager? SQL 2005 or 2008?
