SSRS 2005 model change

Hi

I have a number of sdml's within my SSRS solution. On occasion, the view behind the .dsv changes. Most of these changes are based on int and decimal therefore users require the total, avg, min and max agrregates.

When you 1st create a model all these fancy features are auto-generated (which in most cases is fine), but when adding addition field to the model I am unable fine this option (tried running the "autogenerate" function again to no avail).

There anyway to auto generate these aggregates after the sdml has been created?

1 answer: sort oldest

I sorted this...

Was my muppetry!!!

If you...

  • added the columns to the sql view. -
  • Refresh the dsv.
  • run autogenerate.

This creates the new fields with the aggregates.

What I was doing was adding the top level fiels (binded to the dsv) and then trying to autogenterate! Doing this way doesnt generate the aggregates after the field is added.

Sorry chaps!
