repaint infinite loop

Sometimes, for no apparent reason, my Visual Studio for SSIS 2008 R2 starts repainting / refreshing the screen and goes into an infinite loop. I have no option but to kill the process and restart it.

Does anyone else experience this? Any known solutions / workarounds?

Never seen this one. Have you submitted the report when it crashes or searched on VS support sites for similar?

Are you up to the latest service pack?

Do you have any other software installed that might conflict? Addins etc maybe?

It is an infinite loop - maybe I should let it fully crash and then turn it in to the authorities. I am up to the latest service packs. No add-ins to Visual Studio - it's a stock install.
