Hi All, When trying to launch SQL Server 2008 management studio, the same server name "SQLSRVR/INST1" appears twice in the drop-down list although they point to the same instance. So, how to remove one of them from the drop-down list? Regards

I had a similar issue, talked about here on SSC main site. I know it's not the same exactly, but I think the functionality that is lacking in SSMS 2008 could be better managed. The workarounds are at your own risk. If you want to raise this issue with Microsoft, vote for it at Connect
