If this is covered somewhere, I apologize, but I have not found it answered. Why are some answers highlighted in green? At first, I thought it was the accepted answer, but I started noticing some questions with multiple answers highlighed.

You were correct in assuming that green signifies the accepted answer. We don't know how it happened, but there were lots of questions in the exported data dump that had multiple "accepted" answers. If you're scratching your head, well... so were we. As it happens, I kinda like the idea. Heh, thank you for explaining that.
